Not one. Her sex ed stance is to teach what happens reproductively. Just because she doesn't advocate teaching 7th graders how to put a condom on a banana, doesn't mean the kids aren't learning the basics. Besides, no birth control is full-proof, except abstinence.

They are being educated.

Besides all that...I was the same age as her daughter when I got pregnant. Not only did I have "traditional" sex ed classes...full of condoms and the pill...my mom offered to get me on the pill when/if I wanted to, no questions asked.

And show me any teenager who is unaware of birth control.

As for her stance on pro-life...I LOVE that she "walked the walk" when it came to her beliefs. She was faced with the option of abortion, and chose life, even though it will be a difficult road.

Re: Sarah Palin

I'm thinking about not voting for McCain because of Sarah Palin.

I'm sorry, but she is not capable of running the country. Any country.

Normally I wouldn't look so closely at a VP, but let's face it--McCain is quite old and there is a much more likely chance that he could die before his term is up than there has been with other presidents in recent history.

The idea of Sarah Palin as president scares the bejeebers out of me. Did you see her interview about the bailout? Umm, health care reform? Job creation? What do those things have to do with it?

I'm pretty ignorant about the whole subject myself, but I've gleaned enough just from clicking links on Pirate's blog to know Palin is even more clueless than I. If the rest of us can learn about it through Google, surely she could too.

She's made me slightly uneasy from the get go--there were some questions I had about her integrity and her handling of power. I looked past those things and tried to look at how she would possibly lead our country, and she's coming up short. I'm not even sure how she managed to become governor.

Re: Sarah Palin

I was discussing this with my husband yesterday.

He made a good point, in my opinion. He said that no president EVER acts unilaterally. She'd have a full cabinet of advisers, people to one-on-one prepare her for different situations that would come up, etc. She wouldn't be flying solo.

Obama's lack of experience actually worries me more than Palin. He's not the "next in line"...he's the dude in the seat.

Honestly, though, I kinda wish a Democrat would be elected. The next few years are going to be really rough. Bush has put us in precarious situations with China, North Korea and Iran. The financial stability of our government is teetering....just to name a few issues. I don't want to see that blamed on a Republican.

Besides, I consider myself "conservative"...and "Conservative" is NOT McCain.
