He'p me with some movies

I don't know if everybody is aware of this but I do the ordering of movies for a minimum security prison in MD. I try to give the inmates the best movies possible because it warehouses them or, in jail talk, "rocks 'em to sleep". They live in dorms and almost have free roam of the place. A good movie keeps 70% of the population in one spot and puts them in a position where they can't make knives or plan to smuggle in hard drugs.

So, what are your favorite movies, PG-13 or under? More appropriately, what are your teenagers watching? The inmates, in general, have the tastes of a 13 year old boy. Action and superhero movies go over well. Jim Jarmusch and tear-jerkers don't. Also, they are mostly from inner-city Baltimore. Tyler Perry's stuff is considered sacred. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :emoticon

Well, my 9 year old son is totally into High School Musical, but that's probably not what you're looking for. emoticon

There's an old Eddie Murphy movie called The Golden Child. It's action/adventure and pretty funny too, although not really a comedy. I loved it as a teenager, and I saw it again for the first time in about 15 years last night and it was still very entertaining. It's not a chick flick by any means. I'm pretty sure it's PG 13.

Yup, it's PG 13.

And apparently lots of people love it, not just me.

That's great. Eddie is DOC gold! i assumed it was "R", as is most of his 80's stuff. Thanks. I think I'll get best of SNL, too. That should go well. I wish i could get "Delerious". Too many bad words. Plus, the inmates would get on me for the homo stuff. things like that hit too close to home for them. Ha ha ha ha ha ...

Re: …

Narnia is pretty good (the second movie is way too violent (with very little actual content), but the first is well made).

All the Spiderman movies, Independence Day, Star Trek is out on Netflix, Batman Returns...just a few I can think of right off.

Any superhero movie (I like spidey the bestest). Pet Dectective or the Mask (are they PG 13?) (ps I hate Jim Carey but for some reason men think he is funny. I think it is a three stooges thang).

Re: He'p me with some movies

Check out the John Grisham movies...

Some are R rated, but a handful are PG-13...and they are about the law, so the guys might like that, too.

The Star Wars movies, Mr. Mom, All the King's Men, Pirates of the Caribbean series, Wild Hogs, The Mummy, Summer School, The Astronaut Farmer, X-Men series, Day After Tomorrow, October Sky...*cough cough* Brokeback Mountain*cough cough*

someone just got satellite TV with a guide to HBO...
