Re: The Library

Monkey - only four fiction books? oh man, i wouldn't have survived childhood without the Little House books, the Pern adventures, Tolkien, Lewis, Kipling, Stevenson and Austen. I can't imagine a world where I didn't love Mr. Darcy.

In fact, I think I need to read Treasure Island to the kiddies next. I love that book.

Re: The Library

Hey I picked up my mom at the airport! She's staying with me for 5 weeks!

My d-i-l and I are starting On Gold Mountain by Lisa See.

Sorry about the background noise, the grandson is playing cars.

Re: The Library

My next book will be something by Theodore Dalrymple. I forget the title, though. I ordered it and hope it's in soon.

Re: The Library

Maybe we should start a Biscuit Book Club. Each month one of us will choose the book. We all read it and post our thoughts about it in a book club section. Any takers?

How about The Aeneid? Or the Odyssey? Lots of Romans/Greeks, gladiators, adventures, sex, war, gods...you name it.
