As for the uniforms, those are real. The name tags ARE velcro, as are all the patches. That's the new uniform.

Seriously? Wow...I remember my dad's were sewn on. Seems strange they would make them velcro.

Re: Army Wives

It's so much easier now--no sewing, removing, sewing some more every time you change units. Plus, the new uniforms are wrinkle free. No more starch and ironing, hallelujah!

I hated Claudia Joy's daughter, so I was kind of glad they blew her up. But, the first few episodes were more than I could stomach and I never watched it after that.

Plus Joan annoys me too. The whole thinking about aborting the baby for her career is ridiculous. The Army hasn't been like that for a couple of decades.

Also, I used to really like Roxy, and the story line with her husband and how he acted after he got back was pretty accurate, but she started to annoy me too, for no particular reason.

Re: Army Wives

Well, the kid looked EXACTLY like Claudia Joy...and she was headed off for college, so to blow her up was just silly. I guess they had to kill someone we remotely cared about, though.

Joan's storyline has been awkward, too. First, she wants to abort, then she nearly miscarries over and over...then she starts to hemmorage during childbirth...interesting, though, that no returning soldier can donate blood unless there's an emergency....wonder what that's all about.

They must have realized Pamela's stalker was stupid, too, since she kneed him in the balls and then punched him in the nose....and all was done.

This season is lame to say the least. Luckily for them, I still DVR them....and there's nothing else on TV right now...or else I wouldn't be watching this show right now.
